Michael Czerwinski is a designer, curator, design historian, and a cultural sector artistic director.
After studying ceramics at Camberwell College of Arts he exhibited widely in the 90s before becoming a long term artist in residence at the then derelict St Pancras Renaissance Hotel. First using this evocative building as muse for his own creative work he went on to project manage a number of public exhibitions there cutting his teeth in public engagement and as a producer of large scale events.
Subsequent credits include producer of the Festival of Architecture at King’s Cross, curator of public engagement at The Design Museum, production director for the AGI Open Conference at Barbican Hall, the Arts Council funded producer of the House of Illustration launch programme, as well as curator of numerous design exhibitions. In 2014 Michael Czerwinski launched Studio Tucktite as a creative agency to consolidate his extensive range of experience and skills within London’s creative sectors.
Michael has lectured widely across Formal Learning, Further and Higher Education sectors and is currently a visiting lecturer at London College of Fashion. He has numerous media credits often being interviewed about design, graphic design and illustration by the BBC as well as other national and international press agencies.
Studio Tucktite is a creative agency specialising in collaborative public engagement as well as curating exhibitions about design and designing. Most of the studio output is London based, led by Tucktite Director Michael Czerwinski from the studio hq on Westland Place in Shoreditch.
Tucktite is an experimental space used for making, designing, curating, exhibiting, performing, brainstorming and partying. Suggestion for collaboration are always welcome.
